My Peptide Journey at 44 – 6kg Down in Six Weeks

At 44, I've become more focused on looking after my body, improving my health and staying active for the long term.

Like a lot of people, I want to maintain a healthy weight, improve my body composition, recover better and keep doing the things I enjoy as I get older.

That's what got me interested in peptides.

I'm still relatively new to this journey, but in my first six weeks, I've lost 6kg, seen improvements in my visceral fat measurements and noticed positive changes in how my body feels, including my joint health.

These results have motivated me to keep learning and taking a more proactive approach to my health.

What Got Me Interested?

One of the biggest influences was watching a mate deal with serious knee problems. His condition had reached the point where knee reconstruction was looking like a real possibility.

Over time, I watched him experience what appeared to be a significant improvement in his knee symptoms and mobility. Seeing his journey firsthand made me curious about peptides and their potential role in recovery.

It was a big part of what encouraged me to look into this area for myself.

The Peptides I'm Exploring

The five peptides I've been learning about are:

  • Retatrutide – associated with research into weight management and metabolism.
  • Tesamorelin – a compound that influences growth hormone signalling.
  • MOTS-C – an experimental peptide associated with cellular energy and metabolic processes.
  • CJC-1295 – a compound that influences growth hormone signalling.
  • BPC-157 – an experimental peptide often discussed in relation to tissue and joint recovery.

Each is different, and I'm continuing to learn about them and understand the risks involved.

My Focus Moving Forward

For me, this isn't just about losing weight. It's about improving my body composition, looking after my joints, feeling better and giving myself the best chance of staying active for years to come.

At 44, I want to play the long game. That means paying attention to my health, staying consistent and making informed decisions along the way.

I'm pleased with the progress I've noticed in my first six weeks, but I know this is only the beginning.

I'm sharing my experience because I know plenty of other people are interested in the same things: weight management, recovery and feeling better as they get older.

This is my journey, my experience and my motivation to keep improving. Six weeks in, I'm only getting started.
